Objectives:
1) Explore 4 basic techniques of pastel work:
Blending soft pastels on pastel paper with tools such as stumps/tortillions, color shaper tools, rags and sponges.
Blending soft pastels on pastel paper using hands only.
Hatching and cross-hatching to build tone and value using pastel pencils.
Apply varied marks of broken color to build tone and value.
2) Create a four-section sampler using these various techniques on pastel paper
3) Choose a favorite technique and try it out on paper of a different texture
