Ross was born in 1990 in York, Pennsylvania. He studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. Afterwards, he worked at the Susquehanna Art Museum in Harrisburg and recently relocated to Bay Ridge in Brooklyn to seek out new opportunities.

The current series of paintings of mechanical subject matter is a collaboration with his father, Doug Tyger, who is a mechanical engineer. The subjects are industrial steam boilers, boiler burners, and control systems which power many of the manufacturing facilities throughout our region. The cheery sheen of the machinery set against misty backgrounds is meant to combine the feel of product imagery with contemporary painting.
